Guarantor FAQ

Starting your Vouch Guarantor Application

If you are a guarantor who has been asked to help secure a tenancy, you will need to follow the steps laid out here to complete your application.

You will have received a text and email containing a link to start your application.

Every person on your tenancy will receive an email/text with a link to start their application. You each need to use your unique link to complete your application.

Before your start

Before starting your application, it is good practice to have the following to hand:

  • Current/previous landlord’s contact details
  • Employer contact details, or accountant’s contact details if you are self-employed
  • Proof of ID (passport, driving licence etc.)
  • Proof of address (house bills, council tax bill etc.)
  • Proof of funds (payslips, SA302 etc.)

Signing in

Once you have clicked the link, you will be taken to this page.

Enter the 4-digit PIN from your email/text to log in.

Checking your details

You will be shown a summary of your information and the property information – please check these are right (if anything is incorrect, you will be able to update it on the next screen).

Once you have checked everything, hit ‘I’m happy, let’s move on’ at the bottom of the screen.

Signing the Guarantor Declaration Agreement

You will be asked to confirm some initial details before you sign the agreement, including;

  • Tenancy Information
  • Your contact information

Once you have completed these, you will be taken to this page to sign the declaration

You can view the agreement by clicking ‘View Agreement’ at the bottom of the page

Sign using your mouse, or finger if completing on a smartphone, and click ‘Let’s continue’ to complete the rest of your application.

Completing your application

Once you’ve provided all your information, simply click ‘Save Progress’ and close the browser window.

Additional Documents

If you need to include additional documents in your application and have used all the allotted spaces in the ‘Additional Documents’, you can email the documents to and Vouch will upload them to your application.

Make sure to include your VCH reference number in the subject line and leave the body of the email blank.
